This is a gorgeous and very rare French antique gold tone filigree powder compact with a lovely blue guilloche enamel hand painted medallion surrounded by 4 white pearls and 4 blue prong set stones from the late 1800's.

The lid has an extremely ornate filigree design that is really stunning; and the enamel center piece is hand painted with a lovely floral pattern.

It opens to a rope style framed beveled mirror that only has slight silvering spots, and comes with a pretty handmade unused silk powder puff.

The hinge and clasp work well. The bottom of this piece is hallmarked "Made In France".  The outside edges of the piece have a beautiful repousse pattern.

It measures approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1 3/8ths inches. The piece is approximately 3/8ths of an inch in thickness.
